TWiG Fan Service – Kirb Stomp (Trailer)

You know how you go to your favorite bar, and your local bartender isn’t there? You ask, Where’s Jeff? Jeff no longer works here, I’m Steve. Then you’re thinking, hey, who’s this idiot? I like Jeff. But you still want your drink. And even though Steve doesn’t mix your drink the same way you’re used to, like Jeff, you still like the bar. You don’t want to have to go to a different bar. And even Steve might feel kinda bad because Jeff trained him. Jeff showed him how to work the cash register, where the tonic was on the soda gun, who tips, who doesn’t. Well, I’m Steve. What can I get you?

Colin Quinn – Saturday Night Live 1998

Needless to say, I’m new, but not quite new. I’m [the Engineer], a webmaster, a podcaster, a voice actor and artist. You may have heard me in the DCAU or Halo Franchise topic shows. You may be familiar with my work as the person who created the Review-A-Day site (in all it’s simplicity) for Birdman. You may have heard me on the Big Bald Broadcast w/ Kyle Hebert. Or all of this may be entirely beyond if not completely meaningless to you. That said, I’m here to do what engineers do best: clean up after the mess of other people, bringing you a better tomorrow today, etc., etc. Promises are of course empty without something tangible. So how about something you can hold, or more to the point; something you can watch?

Recently, at MAGFest 9 two things happened:

– I lifted Birdman. TWICE.
– Myself, Kirbopher (of T.T.A., Parody Rangers and N1N10DoH! fame), MarzGurl, Jon St. John (The voice of Duke Nukem) and a handful of others came together to make a film.

It’s premise was simple: Kill Kirbopher.

What followed was more than ten hours of on the spot filming in poorly lit hotel hallways and convention dealer’s rooms. But it was worth it because in the end, my first ever film, Kirb Stomp was born. This has all been very verbose so I’ll wrap with this. I’m leaving you, the gentle audience, with only the trailer and poster (created by Kirbopher) for Kirb Stomp. The full feature is available on YouTube and if you’re proactive, you’ll find it. But for you, the TWiG audience of what…two…three (kidding)? I thought you deserved better. Kirb Stomp in H(ish)D is being rendered and in a few hours time, it will be yours and yours alone to view.

So for now, kick back, relax and foam at the mouth with the trailer (or spoil the pudding and watch the feature now on Youtube).

Stay Groovy.
