I’m a big fan of The Transformers: The Movie and it was nice hearing Stan Bush talk about his music. His voice still sounds great after all these years!

I met Stan when I was living in LA, but I was surprised he remembered me when he and his wife were vacationing in San Diego 2 years later when I was in a band called “The Heroes” doing a gig at the hotel by the airport. He gave me an autographed (in gold) copy of his LP, which I played for everyone I came in contact with. He was going to do a concert not far from my house and I was looking forward to accommodating him in anyway I could – somehow wires got crossed, communication lost, it didn’t happen. I never got the chance to see him perform, but I believe he would be nothing short of awesome. He proved to be a great friend, humble to a fault, and incredibly talented but what struck me then and still, after all these years, what I remember most, was his warmth and honesty as a person. I couldn’t help but feel a sense of nobility just talking to him, he helped me maintain a positive frame of mind at all times. Thank you Stan.
