Remember me? Double D? Yeah, I know, it’s been a while. I apologize for that. The fact is, I’ve been up to a lot lately and I’ve also had a lot of time to think about my blogs. Do I want to keep doing them? How often? What will they be about? Why the heck were you gone for so long? Well, I shall attempt to answer all those questions here today before we move on to more exciting blogs. It’s not something I’m planning on stopping entirely, even though I did take a temporary hiatus.

So, let’s start answer questions. First off, yes I plan on continuing to do blogs. However, I will not be posting them every day anymore. Sadly, it’s just too much site traffic and too much for me to handle, so I figure it’s better to do them around once, maybe twice and if I’m feeling super ambitious three times a week, but any more than that would be too much of me for anyone to handle and we wouldn’t want that lol. Did I honestly just write lol here? Maybe I’ll be more casual with my writing style too. You never know. I’ma mix it up for y’all! I’ve also learned a lot from my past blogging experience and what sort of works and what gets you a late night e-mail asking “Dave, can you remove this from the site, please? We’re trying to not scare people away.” So, I’ll be focusing much less on personal stuff and more on nerdy stuff, from every post after this and on, I swear. I might throw a left field blog out there every now and again, but things will be a little more guided content-wise. Also, I may not be the only person blogging on TWiG now, so condensing the format into something definable rather than “Whatever happened to me on the way to the grocery store!” is necessary.

So, why was I gone so long? Short answer: I was busy. I got back from that mission trip to Moldova that I won’t bore you about anymore and immediately set back to work, meeting up with old friends and family, working on other writing projects and volunteering at TIFF and just now I am ready to get back into the world of blogging and podcasting with this introductory post. TIFF wasn’t as fun for me this year by the way, because… Wait, that’s a whole other post. I can’t just waste these things. This is a short post, I guess, but again, I’m mixing it up for ya’ll. I gotta stop saying “ya’ll”. I do not wear it well.
