The Last Exit to Ponyville Compendium Blog: Introduction

I don’t really like My Little Pony that much. I mean, I like it. It’s good, but it’s not “Let’s form an obsessive cult based on this property!” good. I think I need to back-track a little.

I’m still only half-way through season two of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic at the time I write this blog. As I catch up, I’ll share my thoughts and any changed opinions. Oh, do I need to back-track again? Fine, Jeez.

So, I got into My Little Pony because Mike Dodd, one of the co-hosts on TWiG’s Last Exit to Ponyville is one of the hugest fans on the planet. I was over at his place a few months ago when he challenged me to just give it a watch, so I said “Sure, what’s the worst that could happen?” So, I got a copy of the series from Mike, dumped it onto my computer and decided to watch the entire series, just to see what I think.

I’m not out to become a fan. I’m not out to become a hater. I just want to have an objective view of the series as a sort of neutral party and that’s also what this blog is for. When I post a My Little Pony Compendium Blog it’ll be my unique, objective views on the series as a fan who isn’t quite a convert.

Mike asked me to do this Blog after several of our Pony-related conversations, and I said, “Why the hell not?” The blogs I post will probably be relative short, but my aim isn’t to write an essay, but to give fans a new perspective to think about. If there’s one thing I’m good at its making smoothies. If there’s another thing I’m good at it’s taking a strange and sometimes offensive view on things often only seen one way.

So after this introduction you can start looking forward to more of these things in the future and they’ll be more entertaining than this one, I swear. This blog sucks, honestly, but introductions always suck.
