First off, here’s an update on my life and my upcoming mission trip. Yeah, I know you probably don’t care and no one likes to hear about someone else’s pet cause, but I don’t care. This is my blog, so it’s also my soap-box. If you don’t like it, well that’s mildly upsetting.
Anyway, first off, there’s a slight change in plans, due to a lack of interest in the original program. I’ll still be doing the same thing, but the dates have changed. I’ll no longer be going from June 17 to July 14. I’ll now be going from July 18 to August 19 as long as nothing comes up.
Well, my fund-raising dinner was yesterday and I have to say it went really well. I was wary. We couldn’t do a raffle like I wanted since our church doesn’t support gambling of any kind, so we did a silent auction instead. My presentation went over really well and best of all, the food was great. We made even more money than I expected thanks in part to people buying the leftovers after the meal was done. Everyone seemed to be having a really good time and enjoying the food and the turnout was good. So yeah, it went well. I’m very happy about that.
A big shout-out to everyone who helped out at the dinner, including my Mom and Dad, my sister Esther, my best-friend Will, Joe and Anita Nagy and Muriel Muir. They likely won’t read this, but I’d feel bad if I didn’t give them a shout-out. The whole dinner wouldn’t have been possible without them.
Anyway, here are some pictures from that event. Enjoy! Also, look forward to new eps of Movie Madness and Review-O-Rama in the near future! It’s all right here, exclusively on thisweekingeek.net! There, I mentioned the site. Where’s my $50?
