TWiG – Episode 011

Here it is folks, the last episode of the season in our little fishbowl at Niagara College for this term. Don’t worry though, TWiG is going to continue in the summer with Season 1.5, but we are going to take 2 weeks off for exams and working on our revamp for Season 1.5 including live Internet Streaming episodes!
Today’s Episode we go to a galaxy far far away and take on the Dark Lords of the Sith as Jedi Knight’s Stevo Kenobi Saylor and Mikian Geekwalker Dodd teach you the ways of the Force.
Impressive this episode is!

TWiG – Award winning podcast!
Hey everyone, school has been a bit hectic lately, but I must tell you about what has happened to us in the past few hours.
First of all, Mike and I were nominated at our school for our Broadcasting end of year awards called the GRAFITI's. We were nominated for best Specialty Show on 90.1 FM The school's radio station. We thought we had a good chance. We knew some of the shows that wanted to be nominated and had sent in submissions along with us. We thought that there would be at least 5 or 6 nominations. Little did we know it was much more important than that.
First of all, this was the first year the award existed.
Second, apparently the professors were the ones who voted on who won.
Thirdly, there were only three nominations. The profs chose one show for each of the three years in the Broadcasting course. So they chose our show as the best first year show, which is awesome.
So today Mike and I got out our Sunday best and attended the 2 and a half hour award ceremony. It was fun. I laughed, I cried, it moved me Bob.
And we won! We won! We Won! WE WON!!!
Suffice it to say we beat out all the entries and won out of almost 20 shows the best Specialty Show. Man were we stoked!! We were told by tons of people that Mike and I deserved it, and even some teachers gave their congrats. It was sooo surreal. We beat out Third and Second year shows! A first year show doing that? Come on that's just awesome!
I would love to write up a short story about the event, but I am sooo hyper right now that I can't get my thoughts down into a cohesive story that has a beginning middle and end.
I may or may not write about it. I want to write the story that seems interesting instead of it being, “Then this happened, and then this happened.” kind of deal. I'll have to figure something out.
Suffice it to say thank you to everyone who listened to our show and supporting Mike and I throughout these past few months.
We did take tons of pictures and a video of our acceptance speech so be prepared for that soon.
At any rate, I'm going to go admire at the trophy that we won. It looks cool. LOL
Toodles!
